About Deepika

Hi, I’m Deepika, a Counselling Psychologist and trauma‑informed couples’ therapist. My work is grounded in attachment and emotion‑focused approaches, creating a space where couples can feel safe, heard, supported, and empowered as they navigate emotional, relational, and intimacy challenges across different life stages. I am also an advanced BWRT practitioner and offer focused, short‑term sessions for high‑performing working professionals to ease anxiety, work stress, and relational strain so they can feel more regulated and present in their everyday lives.

  • My work as a couple’s therapist combines attachment, emotional focused therapy and Gottman’s approach to help couples navigate the challenges of relationships at all stages and levels. Couples dating, living in together, long distance relationship, getting married, pregnancy journey, married for 2 years or 20 – this space is open to all couples to work on whatever feels difficult in the relationship.

  • I truly believe in the statement that “We are wounded in relationships, and we heal through relationships".

  • And the therapy space with me is meant to be a steady, confidential place where both of you can feel safe, heard, and truly seen in your struggles and longings. Together, we will slow things down, understand the patterns that keep you stuck, and gently work toward deeper understanding and connection with yourself and with each other.

  • You will set the goals for our work, and the pace will always be collaborative and respectful of both partners. My role is to hold the structure, and offer a clear, compassionate lens on what is happening between you—so that over time, your relationship can feel more secure, hopeful, and intentional.

  • My work as an advance BWRT practitioner includes working with high performing individuals for anxiety (before crucial meetings or presentations or any high stake interactions), work related stress, relational strains (at work or personal). This approach works equally well with stage performers and sports personals.

  • You can understand BWRT (BrainWorking Recursive Therapy) as a modern, short-term approach that helps your brain change unhelpful automatic reactions, like anxiety, fear, or shame, without needing to go into every detail of your past. It works by gently “rewiring” how your brain responds to specific triggers, so situations that once felt overwhelming can start to feel calmer and more manageable.

  • Clients can have a 15 min free discovery call with me to briefly discuss their concerns, process of therapy and if it feels like right fit to work together

  • M.Sc. Counseling Psychology from Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong, Meghalaya in Affiliation with Sampurna Institute of Advanced Studies, Montfort College, Bangalore (Spc. Marriage and Family Therapy & Group Therapy)

  • PG Diploma in Training & Development from ISTD, New Delhi

  • Graduation from Delhi University, New Delhi

  • I create a calm, emotionally safe space where people feel deeply seen rather than judged, so they can bring in the “messy middle” of their relationships and inner worlds.

  • I listen for patterns and attachment needs beneath the surface, helping couples and individuals understand their cycles instead of blaming themselves or each other.

  • I move gently but purposefully, combining warmth and trauma-informed care with clear boundaries, goals, and practical tools that support real, sustainable change.

  • With BWRT I help people gently rewire the fast, automatic reactions that keep them stuck in anxiety, fear, or shame, so their nervous system can finally experience relief and choice.
